Dope Show. Nice how you started off talking about “Natural Bliss” by Scott Lark. Since the first time I heard that song on V&V in the fall of ’95, that’s been my favorite rap song. Tony D did that, right? I remember in the fall of ’96 I taped a V&V show where you all were giving Scott a shout out and one of you said “Only 29 days left, kid.” I figured he was on lock or some shit. I ran into Culture Freedom in a record store in Morrisville, NJ in like ’99 and was asking him what was up with Scott Lark. We talked a bit. Then I worked with some dude who grew up with him. Probably best that he didn’t do anything after Razzle Dazzle. Anybody know where Tony D got that Natural Bliss break from?

Anyway, I was listening to this and I was thinking this sounded much more like fall 1995 to me than March/April (Liquid Swords, Fast Life, etc.). But I could be wrong.

P.S. Big up Khori Blunt. We were talking about V&V on Myspace while I was in Law School like 4 years ago. Still in Cali?

There were 2 “Corey”. DJ Corey Blunt who spun in the ’93-’95 years and Khori who picked up when Hagos took over later on in ’96-’98. Still trying to get tapes from Hagos…that cat is on the west coast somewhere…tapes are somewhere in NJ.

Word. That makes sense now since Khori only talked with me about the later shows. I had just figured it was the same dude.

I think you’re right about the Fall. I was trying to remember when that HCIBD conference was. Oct maybe?
